A Little Rock & A Lot of Victory

Last weekend took me all of this week to practically recover from. It was long, awesome and some great memories were made. Listen up for some great hang out ideas, places to check out and just Pittsburgh pride.

Saturday Evening – well it went a little like this. We scored free tickets to a band show at Mr. Smalls out in Millvale (kinda shady out there but not terrible). First time being there – in an old church (but they still do non-Catholic religious meetings there). The management created a great little place, opened up the rectory side into an over 21 hang out. They also had TACOS. Need I say more? Thick I ate like 4…

The bands were pretty good too. You know I’m not a huge rock fan (and self-proclaimed music snob) but I had a good time. The headliner was Color Me Blind  and I so happened to meet one of the guys’ girlfriends in the restroom (and she happens to be an artist for redesigning t-shirts!). They were really great musicians and had this odd thing of having pillow fights break out in the middle of their performance. Thoughts?

Sunday – Steelers. Steelers. STEELERS. That is the ONLY thing thought of this day. We tailgated with some friends down at the Cardello lot and then headed over to our lovely strip of bars for the game. While some people got sloppy drunk (you know how I feel) I enjoyed myself and a Steeler victory!!! Friends made me miss the last 3 minutes of the game because they HAD to change bars at that very moment. Next time I’ll just meet them at the next place — I never want to miss the ending of a Steeler domination again.

Looking forward to this weekend (and Pittsburgh Fashion Week)!

FADEDfest 2011: THE VIDEO

So it is finally here – I have finally worked out the kinks to my video from the weekend. Now I’ll warn you the song wasn’t the original one (which I think fit better) but I wasn’t allowed to upload it with that song so I had to switch it on Youtube. But I think it still works.

Dancing Sun Drop Pop

This will just be a quick blurb post – I’m not sure if anyone else has started catching onto this craze but apparently Sun Drop (the pop) has been touring around Pittsburgh (Oakland and now South Side) with dancing girls passing out their product.

I caught it yesterday (Friday) when I went into Cambod-Ican Kitchen for dinner. I started hearing loud music and saw a large crowd gathering outside the restaurant. When I got out there I saw this:

After snapping a few shots and passing comments with others outside I braved the road and ran to get my free sample – I got 2! Tasted pretty good.

Rock on Sun Drop dancers.

Valentine’s Day Videos

So I’m gearing up for Valentine’s Day on Monday – not that there’ll be a whole hell of a lot going on, class and then work – woo.

But these are to help get you all in the mood:

The title says enough. Send this to your man to show them what your love is really like.

Need a lesson on making your man say “oh?” Here’s your teacher.

He’s just pretty to look at and has such a sexy voice. Need there be more reasons?

Throwback alert! Michael just knows what it is.
